During the month of November, the officers of the Wildwood Crest Police Department grow their facial hair to support and bring attention to a worthy cause. Officers use the questions about their beard, mustache or goatee to spark conversation and raise awareness for that year's cause, whether it be a child suffering from cancer, a family who lost their home to a fire, or a charitable organization. We hope that when you see our officers with their new looks, that you take a minute to find out what those beards are benefitting this year and help us with our effort. 2022 BENEFIT RECIPIENT
This year we will be honoring Mrs. Amy Baker, wife of Trooper Jason Baker and mother of Jase Baker. Amy has been diagnosed with an inoperable Brain Tumor/Cancer, which is located within the lower mid-section of her brain on top of the brain stem. Amy has been and will continue to undergo treatment for this tumor, traveling routinely to her physicians for chemotherapy and radiation treatment(s).
Amy is the type of person who would do anything for anyone, as she is a free spirted person, great friend, caring mother, and loving wife. Amy has also been a dedicated law enforcement support staff member for most of her adult life, serving many Police Departments, Courts, and now our Cape May County Sheriff’s Office. The Bakers are local to the Cape May area, where they proudly call home.
The Wildwood Crest Police Department is honored to support Amy and her family in her fight against cancer and hope you will show your support as well.
